Good new for Apprentices

The news that the number of work places employing apprentices in the Meriden Constituency continues to increase has been welcomed by local MP Caroline Spelman.

Mrs Spelman said: “Many small businesses I talk to in my constituency were initially worried about taking on additional admin but they found that in fact our reforms are making apprenticeships both simpler for businesses and better quality for apprentices.

“That is why, across the country, we have seen a record number of apprenticeship placements under this Government.

“Year on year the total number of work places employing apprentices are increasing with 300 in 2010/11 to 360 in 2011/12 and the latest figure of 430 in 2012/13.”
