Dame Caroline Spelman launches Yezidi Women: ISIS Survivors Exhibition in Parliament

On 26th March, Rt Hon Dame Caroline Spelman, MP for Meriden, launched an exhibition by British artist, Hannah Rose Thomas, in Westminster. This exhibition features moving self-portraits of Yezidi women who are dealing with immense trauma after escaping the self-proclaimed Islamic State, alongside Hannah’s exquisite portraits of the same women.

Dame Caroline joins campaign to protect against Carbon Monoxide

Dame Caroline Spelman is working with Eddie Hughes MP to support his Bill to require landlords to install and maintain a functioning audible carbon monoxide alarms in rented dwellings which contain a gas, liquid or solid fuel burning combustion appliance.

Dame Caroline Spelman MP signs Holocaust Educational Trust Book of Commitment

Dame Caroline Spelman has signed the Holocaust Educational Trust’s Book of Commitment, in doing so pledging her commitment to Holocaust Memorial Day and honouring those who were murdered during the Holocaust as well as paying tribute to the extraordinary Holocaust survivors who work tirelessly to educate young people today.
