“Having raised our case with the Minister in Parliament, individually and together with other cross party West Midlands MPs, I welcome this rise in local police funding for next year. In light of this announcement I would urge the Police and Crime Commissioner to ensure that this money is well spent to ensure sufficient protection for the people of Solihull Borough”.
Following the closure of the recent northbound flight path consultation at Birmingham Airport, Meriden MP, Dame Caroline Spelman, is urging local residents to have their say on the issue of aircraft noise through a new national survey.
“It’s really important to keep a step ahead of winter. I want everyone in Solihull Borough to understand what help is available for them, and for their family and friends. Being energy efficient and keeping bills under control is really important, so I’d encourage people to get in touch with their energy supplier to find out what support is on offer.”
