Local MP, Caroline Spelman has welcomed the Government’s decision this week to freeze Fuel Duty until the end of the year.
“The Government has listened hard to people who are concerned about the rises in fuel duty that were inherited from the Labour Government. I know from my postbag how important this was to people – to families and businesses and the self-employed where fuel prices have made a big dent on household income.
“Thanks to the Conservatives in government, Fuel Duty has now been frozen for two years. Fuel will now be ten pence less than it would have been under Labour. This is good news for motorists, families and businesses coping with tight finances”.
