Dame Caroline Spelman has committed to taking action to address the literacy challenge in Meriden constituency as new analysis from the National Literacy Trust and Experian reveals that the variety in literacy skills across the UK is putting children’s futures in jeopardy.
Following the recent Supreme Court hearing, the Government published the ‘European Union (Notification of Withdrawal) Bill ’ earlier today. This is the first step in securing our departure from the European Union, which will begin no later than March 31st 2017.
In the last few hours, the Supreme Court gave notice of its ruling to uphold the High Court’s decision in favour of the claimant on the issue of whether Parliament should vote on triggering Article 50. The vote was carried 8-3.
