The Meriden MP and Second Church Estates Commissioner met with representatives from Christian Aid to support the appeal, which aims to raise much-needed funds for people experiencing hunger and malnutrition in South Sudan.
Following the closure of the recent northbound flight path consultation at Birmingham Airport, Meriden MP, Dame Caroline Spelman, is urging local residents to have their say on the issue of aircraft noise through a new national survey.
“It’s really important to keep a step ahead of winter. I want everyone in Solihull Borough to understand what help is available for them, and for their family and friends. Being energy efficient and keeping bills under control is really important, so I’d encourage people to get in touch with their energy supplier to find out what support is on offer.”
The Chancellor, Philip Hammond, has confirmed a second round of devolution for the West Midlands in a significant victory for WM Mayor, Andy Street, who has been pushing for further powers to be granted to the region since his election in May.
This week the Chancellor, Philip Hammond, presented the annual budget to the House of Commons which included plans for much needed investment in quality housing, new technologies and transport infrastructure for our region.
