After a warm summer, it once again becomes the time of year when we must all think about how every community must ensure that its residents stay safe and well during the winter. In recent months, I have been meeting and corresponding with various organisations, including the NHS, a number of utilities providers, to gather information and advice that I can share with local residents, about how they can make the best of the services and schemes available to them this winter.
I am pleased to be able to share this information with you and over the coming weeks, I will be publishing articles and news stories to offer advice and information to local residents. These articles will help make you aware of how you can work to keep down the costs of running your home this winter, apply for extra support through Solihull Council, take advantage of seasonal NHS schemes to beat flu and other winter illnesses and much more.
