I am delighted to represent the Meriden Constituency. I was first elected as MP for this constituency in 1997. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any matters you would like to bring to my attention or if I can be of any help to you.

I want to finish the job of repairing Britain's economy to secure jobs and growth for the benefit of future generations.

I will continue to campaign for better funding for our local NHS services to meet the changing needs of our population, having helped to deliver two new GP surgeries in the constituency.

Solihull Borough schools are of a high standard, and I am fighting to change the funding formula so our pupils get the support they deserve.

I will continue to ensure local residents affected by the development of HS2 receive the compensation they are due and will call for greater mitigation measures, such as a tunnel at Berkswell and environmental offsetting.

Despite many assurances, we are still having difficulty with the noise disturbance from the new flight path routes and I will continue to hold Birmingham Airport to account over these changes.

I will continue to work closely with our local neighbourhood police teams and community activists to make our streets even safer.

Profile pictureI am delighted and humbled by the faith the people of Meriden have put in me to serve a fifth term. I would like to thank the volunteers, my staff, local councillors and all those who offered me their kind words, help and support; your contributions to the campaign made an overwhelming difference. We can now celebrate our local and national victories, but not forget that we must hit the ground running as there is much work to be done here in the Meriden Constituency. I would also like to thank my political opponents - you all fought passionate, clean campaigns and it was a delight to get to know you all. I am very excited for the next five years - let's work together to protect and improve the Meriden Constituency.
